Custom web application

Custom web application development: your tool, your rules

Custom web application development: business tool, SaaS, customer portal or platform, designed around your processes in Next.js, .NET or Node.js, with API, roles and dashboards.

There comes a point when the spreadsheet is no longer enough. Orders arrive on WhatsApp, stock lives in one file, invoicing in another, and three people retype the same information. Custom web application development replaces this patchwork with a single tool, built around the way your company actually works.

Nocido Solutions designs and builds business applications, SaaS products, customer portals and platforms. We build them with Next.js, .NET or Node.js, with an API, roles, dashboards and exports, and we maintain them after they go into production.

Signs that you need your own tool

  • The same data is entered in several places and ends up out of sync.
  • Off-the-shelf software covers 70% of the need and the rest is done by hand.
  • Your customers or partners ask for access to their own information.
  • Your process is different from your competitors', and that is what wins you business.
  • License costs exceed what a development amortized over three years would cost.

We have detailed these signals in our article on custom web applications for SMEs: when and why.

What we build

Business applications: order management, scheduling, production tracking, fleet management, quality control. The internal tool your teams open every morning.

SaaS products: a product you sell to your own customers by subscription. Ekygai, a sports platform for athletes, coaches and clubs, is a SaaS built this way, with personalized programs, performance tracking and a free trial.

Portals and platforms: customer area, partner area, marketplace, affiliation. Choucho Affiliate connects marketers, a product catalog, orders and commissions in a single platform.

What the service includes

  • Immersion and a specification written with you.
  • Data model, architecture and choice of the technical stack.
  • Prototype of the main screens, tested with your users.
  • Development in two-week sprints, with a demo at the end of each one.
  • Authentication, roles, permissions, activity log.
  • Documented API, integrations with your existing tools, exports.
  • Dashboards and indicators.
  • Data migration, training, documentation, go-live.

Why sprints

Custom software is not delivered in one go after six months. Every two weeks, a usable version is deployed to a test environment. Your teams try it, flag what does not match reality on the ground, and that feedback goes into the next sprint. The result is a tool that is adopted rather than endured, and a budget that holds because priorities are reassessed at each step.

Website, e-commerce or application?

Many projects arrive with the word "website" when the real need is a connected tool. Our article on brochure site, e-commerce or web application asks the three questions that settle the matter before you spend anything.

Who it is for

SMEs of ten to two hundred people whose operations rely on a process of their own: distribution, logistics, services, healthcare, education, manufacturing. Founders launching an online product who need a solid first version. Companies that already have a tool, built years ago, and need to rebuild it without interrupting the business. We work with clients nationwide and abroad, remotely or on site.

What we do not do

We do not sell standard software relabeled as "custom", and we do not start a six-month development without intermediate releases. If an off-the-shelf tool genuinely covers your need, we tell you at the scoping stage and help you deploy or integrate it.

Pricing and timelines

A first module costs between 50,000 and 120,000 MAD and is delivered in two to three months. A full platform means several modules delivered in sequence over four to eight months. The quote is broken down module by module, so you can start with what pays back the most.

Method

How we work

  1. Immersion

We observe your current process, spreadsheets and exchanges included, and list the business rules, roles and data. That is the specification, written with you.

  2. Architecture and prototype

Data model, breakdown into modules, choice of the technical stack, then a prototype of the main screens tested with your users.

  3. Development in sprints

Releases every two weeks to a test environment. You use each version and your feedback goes into the next sprint.

  4. Deployment and handover

Data migration, training, documentation, go-live. The source code and the credentials are yours; maintenance is contractual.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When is a custom application better than off-the-shelf software?

When your process is your competitive advantage, when more than three tools and spreadsheets pass the same data around by hand, or when the licenses of a standard package cost more than a development amortized over three years.

How much does a custom web application cost?

A first useful module (for example order tracking with roles) ranges from 50,000 to 120,000 MAD. A full platform with several modules, an API and dashboards generally exceeds 150,000 MAD. The quote is itemized module by module.

Which technologies do you use?

Next.js and React for the interface, .NET or Node.js on the server, PostgreSQL for the data. The choice is made at the scoping stage based on your team, your existing systems and the expected load.

Is my data protected?

Authentication, roles and permissions, activity log, daily backups and encrypted connections are included in every project. Hosting is chosen with you, at a provider of your choice.

What happens if we stop working together?

You keep everything: the documented source code, the database, the credentials. Another team can take over the project without depending on us.
