How much does a website cost in 2026? The complete pricing guide
Brochure site, e-commerce, web application: the real 2026 price ranges, what moves a quote up or down, and the hidden costs to plan for before you sign.
"How much does a website cost?" is the first question we hear, and the honest answer is: anywhere from 12,000 MAD to several hundred thousand dirhams. That spread is not an agency dodge. It reflects projects that have nothing in common except a browser to display them. This guide gives the ranges we actually charge in 2026, explains what pushes a quote up or down, and lists the costs people too often discover after launch.
Price ranges by type of website in 2026
The price of a site depends first on what it has to do. A site that presents a company and a site that takes payments share neither the same complexity nor the same obligations.
Brochure site: 12,000 to 35,000 MAD
A custom brochure site (5 to 10 pages, a design built for your brand, a contact form, a mobile version and basic technical SEO) starts with us at 12,000 MAD, roughly €1,100. The top of the range covers fuller sites: several languages, animations, a blog, detailed service pages, an appointment-booking tool.
What the price always includes in serious work: a mockup approved before development, image optimisation, a semantic structure for Google, a form that really lands in your inbox, and a review on mobile.
E-commerce: 25,000 to 90,000 MAD
An online store starts at 25,000 MAD (≈ €2,300) for a simple catalogue on WooCommerce or Shopify, with online payment, stock management and transactional emails. The budget climbs with the number of products, product variants, logistics (carriers, pickup points, zone-based rates), a connection to an ERP or a till, and loyalty features.
Our Essadrati Bio store, built entirely in Arabic with right-to-left reading, is a good example of a project where language and reading direction weighed as much as the catalogue in the estimate.
Web application and business platform: from 60,000 MAD
As soon as a site manages user accounts, roles, business data or business rules, it is no longer a site but an application. A SaaS like Ekygai, with its athlete, coach and team profiles, or a federation platform with authenticated access, is priced on functional scope: number of screens, rules and integrations. Expect a starting point of 60,000 MAD and a written scoping document before any commitment, because at this level a verbal estimate is worth nothing.
What moves the price of a quote
Two brochure sites can cost three times apart. Here are the six factors we look at first.
Design: template or custom
A purchased theme, adapted, costs less than a mockup drawn for you, but it makes you look like everyone else and imposes its limits at the first specific need. On a brochure site, custom design often represents 30 to 40% of the budget. It is also what makes a visitor take you seriously.
Number of pages and templates
What counts is not so much the number of pages as the number of different templates. Twenty service pages built on the same model cost barely more than five. Twenty pages that each have their own layout is twenty times the design and integration work.
Content: who writes it?
A site without text or photos does not launch. If you supply the content, it is not billed. If the agency has to write, translate, source visuals or organise a photo shoot, that is added to the quote. It is the item clients underestimate most, and the first cause of launch delays.
Multiple languages
Each additional language means translation, proofreading, URLs and hreflang tags to manage, and sometimes a different reading direction. Arabic in particular requires specific work on typography and layout. Plan for 15 to 25% of the base budget per added language.
Integrations
CRM, newsletter tool, payment, ERP, appointment booking, chat, third-party APIs: every connection needs development and testing. A simple integration (a form into your CRM) is counted in hours; a two-way synchronisation with an Odoo ERP is counted in days.
Search engine optimisation
Technical SEO (structure, speed, structured data, sitemap) is included in our quotes. Editorial SEO, meaning keyword strategy, article writing and link building, is ongoing work billed separately, usually monthly.
Hidden costs to plan for before you sign
The build price is not the total cost. Here is what comes back every year or every month.
- Domain name: 100 to 300 MAD per year depending on the extension.
- Hosting: from 600 MAD per year for a shared brochure site to several thousand dirhams for an application with a database and backups.
- Maintenance: security updates, backups, fixes, performance monitoring. Count 500 to 2,000 MAD per month depending on complexity. An unmaintained site ends up hacked or broken by an update.
- Licences: some themes, extensions or services (payment, email, maps) carry a subscription.
- Evolutions: a site lives. Plan an annual budget for new pages and features rather than discovering it piece by piece.
How to read a website quote
A serious quote details the scope item by item: scoping, design, integration, development, content, SEO, acceptance testing, launch, training. It states what is included and, above all, what is not. Be wary of a single figure with no detail, a deadline with no schedule, and no mention of maintenance at all.
Ask three questions before signing: who owns the code and the content (expected answer: you), what happens if you want to change provider, and how much a change costs after delivery.
In short
| Project type | 2026 range | Indicative timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Custom brochure site | 12,000 to 35,000 MAD | 3 to 4 weeks |
| E-commerce | 25,000 to 90,000 MAD | 6 to 10 weeks |
| Web application / platform | from 60,000 MAD | on scoping |
These are the figures we charge; other serious agencies will be in the same order of magnitude, and the cheapest almost always cut on design, maintenance or code ownership. If you are still hesitating between a brochure site, a store and an application, our article on brochure site, e-commerce or web application will help you decide before asking for a quote.
